Life buoys stolen from boating pond

Police are appealing for information after thirteen life belts have been stolen from a boating pond in Falkirk.
The orange coloured life buoys with a rope attached were taken some time between Saturday February 20 and Sunday March 7 from the perimeter of the boating pond in Callander Park
A Central Scotland Police spokeswoman said: “These life buoys are essential in case of an emergency. This theft could be putting somebody’s life at risk. None of these life buoys have been recovered and we appeal for anyone with information to contact us.”
Six life buoys are housed at various points around the perimeter of the pond and thirteen have been stolen during the two-week period.
