A week after Andrew Ainsworth went missing from his home in Brightons, police have renewed their appeal for information.
Officers visited three Falkirk railway stations this morning and spoke with commuters in the hope that somebody may have information about Andrew (56).
Leading the search Inspector Derek Napier said: “We have had officers at Polmont, Falkirk High and Camelon train stations speaking with commuters hoping they may remember seeing him.
“Andrew has now been missing for seven days after leaving his home at 8.10am on Tuesday January 5 to walk to Polmont railway station for work and never arrived. He would get off the train at either Falkirk High or Camelon and then walk to work.”
Inspector Napier added: “We are growing increasingly concerned for him as Andrew has not previously gone missing and the weather conditions have been horrendous. We have carried out extensive searches and there has been no sightings of him.
“His family are extremely worried and appeal that if anybody knows where Andrew is to let them know.”
Andrew is described as 5'11 tall, grey short hair and was wearing a blue/grey quilted jacket, blue/beige trousers, a grey scarf with red and yellow lining, a grey beannie hat and brown walking boots.
Anyone with information about either man should contact Central Scotland Police on 01786 456000 or information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
