Handbag stolen from car

Police are appealing for witnesses after a handbag was stolen from a car in Denny on Tuesday around 12.30pm.

The blue Fiat Punto was parked outside the Clydesdale Bank in Duke Street, Denny, while the driver went to the cash machine.

When she returned her handbag had been stolen from the unlocked car.

A man was seen running away from the car and he is described as 5’6”, light brown short hair and was wearing a puffy sandy coloured jacket.

PC Linda McBride said: “We urge motorists to keep their cars locked at all times and their valuables out of sight.”
