Cowane St / City Centre East
Located east of Stirling City centre is the community of Cowane Street/City centre east. This is a mainly residential area which features a mix of private and local authority housing and a range of amenities including shops and takeaway food outlets. The Cowane Street area is currently undergoing significant regeneration which includes upgrading of the street lighting systems, street cleaning and the removal of graffiti. PC Fraser Gordon 886 PS Anne-Marie Carter 612 PC Fraser Gordon is Community Constable for the Cowane St/ Top of the Town East area, Fraser is keen to tackle the issues faced by this community and will be visible on your streets, please take the time to speak with him and share your views. The team work closely with the community to identify the issues of most concern and then take action to tackle them. The Police and Community Together (PACT) priorities identified for January/February 2012 are:
Issue: Drugs misuse - Cowane Street - daytime and evenings. Response: Increased high visibility and plain clothes patrols and carry out stop searches on suspected persons.
Issue: Drugs misuse - Bruce Street - daytime and evenings. Response: Increased high visibility and plain clothes patrols and carry out stop searches on suspected persons Issue: Antisocial Behaviour - Darnley Park - weekday evenings and weekends. Response: Increased high visibility patrols. Proactive engagement with youths.
