Police and Community Together Priorities
Constable Anne Begley is the community officer for the Raploch area and is keen to work closely with the community to identify the issues of most concern and then take action to tackle them.
The following are the PACT (Police and Communities Together) Priorities identified by the community for January/February 2012:
Issue: Fuel being syphoned from heavy goods vehicles – Weighbridge, Craigforth – Overnight Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Response: Increased patrols to be carried out and lorry drivers to be educated in relation to the problem to dissuade parking overnight.
Issue: Drug misuse/Dealing - Mossgiel Avenue, Drip Road - all times.
Response: Increased high visibility foot patrols and stop checks/searches to be conducted.
Problem: Parking in the disabled bays and loading bay on Drip Road
Response: Increased patrols by traffic wardens and police officers. Strict enforcement of legislation.
