Cowie

Lying south-east of Bannockburn, Cowie is one of the Eastern Villages. Once a mining community and associated with quarrying, the economy of the village now centres on small scale industry and the manufacture of paperboard and other timber-related products. Efforts are being made to seek improvements to the village and its environs.
