PACT Priorities April 2010

The team work closely with the community to identify issues of most concern and then take action to tackle them.  The following are the PACT priorities identified by the community for April 2010.

• Problem:  Parking of Vehicles in Main Street, Cambusbarron on the Double Yellow Lines and parking of vehicles in streets surrounding the school, during school drop off and uplift times.
• Response:  Extra attention will be given in this area by Police and Community Traffic Wardens where possible and should any vehicles be parking inappropriately, fixed penalty tickets will be issued.  Cambusbarron Primary School are also getting involved whereby we have trained 'Junior Road Safety Officers' to patrol alongside Police.
• Problem:  Housebreakings - High Visibility and plain clothes patrols in Gargunnock.
• Response:  Patrols will continue in this area by Police with a view to prevent any further incidents of this nature and we would encourage the public to report any suspicious activities.
• Problem:  Anti Social Behaviour – youths drinking and general disorder - Kings Park especially at weekends.
• Response:  Extra patrols will be given in the area of Kings Parks, particularly at the weekend by officers in Stirling alongside Community Wardens patrolling.  Recently, a quantity of alcohol has been seized and this will continue to be a priority, especially as the summer months approach.

The team would like to meet with as wide a cross section of the community and can be spoken to in person at venues throughout the month.

• Wednesday 6th April 2010 @ 7.30pm - Kings Park Community Council Meeting within Library Basement, Stirling.
• Tuesday 20th April 2010 @ 7.00pm - Cambusbarron Community Council Meeting, Cambusbarron Community Centre.
