Killearn / Fintry
Killearn nestles under the northern slopes of the Campsie Fells and has a population of approximately 2500. The village sits on the Highland Fault and is home to the country's most southerly malt distillery at Dumgoyne. The West Highland Way passed through the village although the most popular walking route is located a mile from Killearn itself. The village of Fintry lies at the head of Strathendrick on the Endrick Water which runs from the Fintry Hills.
David McNally
Community Constable
David has worked with Central Scotland Police for the last eighteen years. He initially commenced service in the Falkirk area command in 1990 working in Falkirk Burgh, Camelon and Maddiston police offices until 2002. Since 2002 David has been stationed in Balfron.In October 2008 he assumed the role of Community Constable at Balfron with responsibility for the villages of Fintry, Killearn and Strathblane.
PACT Priorities January - March 2012
1. Thefts by OLP (motor vehicles) at Mugdock Country Park.
2. Bogus workmen thefts at properties occupied by elderley or vulnerable persons.
3. Thefts of commodities including lead, fuel oil and metals.
