Grangemouth covers the towns of Bo'ness, Maddiston and Polmont and surrounding smaller communities. Grangemouth itself is home to one of the biggest petro-chemical sites in Europe, one of the busiest sea-ports in the UK, Scotland's only prison for young offenders at Polmont.
Grangemouth also has a large resident population whilst the towns of Bo'ness and Polmont have also grown in recent years.
Community officers are located in the main centres of population as well as the small more rural villages on the southern fringes of the Sub Area Command bordering Lanarkshire and West Lothian.
