Alison Granger and Lisa MacDonald
Community Constables
Allison and Lisa are the Community Officers for the Westfield area and are part of Falkirk North Community Team which assists in policing the Falkirk area. They are both based at Falkirk Police Office.
Alison began her police service in 2005, and was firstly based at Falkirk Police Station as a response officer. She joined the Falkirk North Community team in 2008, covering the area of Middlefield.
In January 2010 she was seconded to work within Falkirk Criminal Investigation Department before being transferred temporarily to Alloa CID to assist with a major enquiry.
In May 2011, Alison returned to the Falkirk North Community Team where she took up the post of New Carron Community Officer, before being transferred to Westfield in September 2011.
Lisa joined Central Scotland Police in March 2010. Lisa previously worked in the Falkirk area as a response officer and in the Hallglen area as a Community Officer before being transferred to the Westfield area in March 2011.
Lisa has a keen interest in Drug operations, tackling local drug problems and dealers who benefit from the supply of controlled drugs. Lisa has organised operations within the Westfield area regarding this.
Any information regarding criminal activity in the area can be passed to Alison or Lisa, which will be treated as confidential and be invaluable in tackling local crime and disorder.
Alison and Lisa also provide Police liaison with Graeme High School, St Andrews Primary School, Oakwood School, Falkirk Skate Park and Westfield Community Stadium.
Alison and Lisa often drop into Westfield Community Hall on Westfield Street and work closely with Thornwood Tenants and Residents Association. If you are part of a Community Council or Residents Group and want Alison or Lisa to be part of your meetings then get in touch.
Alison and Lisa's aim is to address the policing needs of the local community and see tackling anti-social behaviour as a major part of this. Anti-social behaviour takes many forms, including acts of disorder, dishonestly or vandalism and by working closely with the community Alison and Lisa will work to ensure that those responsible for such behaviour are dealt with quickly and effectively.
Every month the issues of most concern to the community are identified and, through a process called Police and Communities Together (PACT), these issues are addressed. Local residents can contact Alison or Lisa to discuss any community issue which may be worthy of adding to the monthly PACT priorities for the Westfield area.
PACT PRIORITIES JANUARY 2012
1. Gather intelligence and adopt a robust approach to illegal drug activity in the area.
2. Road Safety Awareness – In response to numerous recent Police reports raised in and around the Westfield area relating to defective car parts or cars in a poor state of repair a pro-active policing approach will be implemented to address this.
