Firearms LicensingThe Firearms Licensing Department is supervised by a Firearms Licensing Manager who is assisted by a firearms/explosives officer, a firearms examiner/enquiry officer, two firearms/explosives enquiry officers and a part-time administration assistant. The department also has responsibility for dealing with all firearm licensing and explosives applications. The department continues to be accredited to the International Quality Standard BS EN ISO 9001. This accreditation is in recognition of the way the department's procedures and working practices have been documented and formalised. An external audit by ISOQAR, a Quality Certification Body accredited by the Department of Trade and Industry, are carried out each year.
