Assistant Chief Constable John Mauger

Assistant Chief Constable John Mauger was appointed on Monday February 23 2009 by Central Scotland Joint Police Board.

He moved to Central Scotland from HM Inspectorate of Constabulary in London where he was on secondment to from Essex Police as temporary Assistant Chief Constable.

Prior to that posting, he served with Essex Police and was Chief Superintendent within the Force Executive with responsibility for performance.

Mr Mauger joined the Metropolitan Police in 1983. He served in a number of roles within the Metropolitan Police before transferring to Essex in 2000 as a Superintendent. During his time with Essex he has served as a Divisional Commander and is a counter-terrorism, public order and sporting events commander.
